Then finally, off in the distance, Thomas thought he could see
something glowing. "Look!" he said, "I think I see a magic ring."
They swam closer, and there it was! The ring looked so beautiful
glowing under the water. They said good-bye to their friend the dolphin, and
swam through the ring.
The three cats landed in a clearing near a creek. What world are we on
now, they wondered. They walked along the creek until they saw some streets
with houses. It all looked very familiar.
"Could this be Lyndonville?" Zigger asked. "Are we finally home?"
They walked into the village, and sure enough, it was Lyndonville! They
ran home to see their people. Howard and Linda were thrilled to see the three
cats, they had been very worried. There was lots of purring and hugging and
bowls heaped with food.
Howard and Linda were amazed to see how much Sinbad had grown
while he was away. "You’re not a baby anymore!" they said.
Later, when the cats were alone, Zigger said, "You know Thomas, I was
wrong about Sinbad, he was very brave during that whole journey. And he’s
grown up a lot."
And what are three cats going to do after such a great adventure? Why
go to sleep, of course.
And that’s what they did!
