There was only one way to find out. Opie leaped into the air and imagined himself flying high into the sky. He soared up into the air and felt weightless. He swooped and turned and flew through the sky and it felt fantastic! I never knew birds had it so good, he thought.

The other cats watched from the ground and decided to give it a try. Soon they were all in the air, riding the wind and playing with the clouds. They forgot all about their bickering.

They went on that way for hours, flying and playing. After they finally landed back on earth, Opie realized that there was something very strange about the CyberWorld. “You know, we’ve been playing for hours”, he said, “And I don’t feel the least bit tired.”

“Now that you mention it, that’s right!” said Thomas, “Back in our world, I would have needed a nap by now, but I’m not tired at all.” Thomas turned to the CyberCat, “Why is that?”, he asked.

CyberCat was confused, “What do you mean by tired?” He asked, “ I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Is he braindead or what, wondered Opie. “You know”, said Opie, “You get tired, you don’t have any energy,  and then you go to sleep.”

“What’s sleep?” asked CyberCat.

The crazy conversation was starting to make sense to Thomas. “Oh I think I know what going on here! You don’t get tired in the CyberWorld. You don’t need to rest or sleep, do you?”

“We never run out of energy, if that’s what you mean.” said the CyberCat, “And this sleep thing, we don’t do it.”

The cats didn’t have long to ponder this strange situation, because the whole world started to vibrate and shake, everything slowed down.

“Oh no!” said CyberCat, “A crash!”

The stunned cats watched as The CyberWorld and everything in it stopped moving and turned blue. The CyberCat lost his color and became a blue network of lines, a look of shock was frozen on his face. Then a huge sign suddenly appeared in the sky. It said, “This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.”  The entire world disappeared, the cats found themselves in a vast empty nothingness, and then the world flickered into being and everything returned.
