Memorial

Zigger was a wonderful friend, and I miss him dearly. He was a big cat, long, lean and beautiful. He would stand on his hind legs and put his paws up on my legs, that was his way of asking me to hold him. I loved holding Zigger in my arms. He had a loud purr and liked to rub his face against my face. He had big green eyes and shiny, silky fur with rich bars of black swirling against a pepper colored background. He had a very long, narrow tail that stood up straight as a stick.

I thought he would live a long life because he was very fearful and stayed away from the road. In December of 2000, he became very lethargic and stopped eating. I took him to vet, he stayed overnight there, and never made it to see the morning. The vet said the cause of death was probably cardiomyopathy. I wish I had brought him to the vet sooner, maybe he could have been saved. He was only 4 and a half years old when he died. I still miss him and I’ll never forget him.
